1. Canon Characters - An application sheet for whichever character a Player chooses to play is required, and the staff will work with them to help tailor it to fit the room. After this process, they may be approved to test-play the Character in Question, so that the staff can be sure the Player has a handle on the CIQ and setting. Do not use chatroom shorthand/netspeak/l33tspeak in room/forum posts. It is not cool. Please note that we don't expect perfect spelling, punctuation, or grammar, but we do expect a certain level of all three. If anyone needs assistance, do not hesitate to ask for it.

2. Original Characters - An application sheet with the inclusion of a 'Personality' description is required. When making an OC, full adherence to the rules stated herein is expected. So, if anyone has an OC they 'usually' play and finds out that this C doesn't quite comply with the limitations set here, they should either change them so that they do or make a new character that does. After applying this OC, Players may - and should - test-play them in the room to give the staff some idea of what sort of C they're bringing to the table. This will assist the final decision for that Cs approval. Adherence to the Personality description of the OC as applied is strongly suggested, as we don't want to believe someone would ever app a C that they think will be acceptable and then turn it into something that they know won't be after the approval process - and we especially don't want to believe that someone is you.

3. Played By (PBs) - It is required that Players have a picture for representing the likeness of their C for their stat sheet and during play. This picture should be indicative of the C, and appropriate for the room in both size and content. As per IMC rules, nudity, pornography and inappropriate language should not be used in or around the PB, and it is also expected that the picture should have some relevance to the situation in play (ie: no bikini model pictures unless the scene is at a beach). We will maintain a list of 'models' currently claimed by other players on the homepage, so as to avoid duplicates and confusion. The source of these PBs can be anything - even non-Marvel comic books - but should maintain a realism of scale and proportion, so kindly avoid Japanese anime during your searches. The suitability of a particular PB will be assessed during the Review, and it is suggested Applicants have a few 'alternates' picked out in advance.

A Reviewer will contact the Applicant regarding the appiled character's fitness for the game within a week of its posting to the queue. Do note that any issues we may have with the Character will be accompanied by suggestions on how to rectify them. This is not the Reviewer/s attempting to 'stifle creativity', neither is it intended to 'hurt feelings' but rather is an attempt on our parts to help the Applicant fit into the game. We are not the enemy. We want to be friends and play together.

That said, it is suggested that Applicants not interpret any review issues with the application as an issue with them, personally. If an Applicant has issues with accepting questions/criticism, it is suggested that they come to terms with that prior to applying for a C. Players becoming hostile/defensive will find it goes a long way with the Staff in regards to their determining an Applicant's suitability to participate in the game. Similarly, Applicants negotiating their stat numbers with their reviewer in any 'emotional blackmail' fashion, (IE: pouting, crying, passive aggression, etc.) will only show the Staff that Applicant doesn't respect the rules or the rest of the Players, and therefore that Applicant doesn't really want to play here. Nobody is going to beg anyone to play this game, and neither will they make special allowances (aka: bend the rules) to coerce anyone to do so. Therefore, if someone thinks they're much too good for this game and should be treated like royalty by virtue of their deigning to drop in, then we strongly suggest they continue looking for a game which will cater to that outlook - because this one isn't it.
